About studyconnect

studyconnect is a new digital platform that has been developed for the University of Mannheim. With the help of automatic matching, “studyconnect” makes it easier for students to form learning groups. studyconnect, a joint project of the Center for Teaching and Learning, the chair of Economic and Business Education for the Didactics of Professional Teaching and Learning and the University IT.

With studyconnect, students only have to make a few clicks to search for a learning group. Automatic matching is then used to create the groups, taking into account criteria like learning outcomes, motivation and schedules. If a group is successfully created, a Microsoft Teams chat is automatically created to facilitate digital collaboration.

The platform for learning groups is fully integrated into the digital infrastructure of our university: Just like in ILIAS and Portal², students can use their Uni-ID to login to allow for direct access.
